Happy Birthday, Malaysia!

Tomorrow, ie 12 am in the midnight, is when Malaysians celebrating our "birthday"! 51 years ago, at sharp 12 am also, the flag of British colloniser have their last seconds in Tanah Melayu, and for the first time, Malaysians had the chance to own our very first official flag. Jalur Gemilang (nickname of Malaysian's flag, as Stars and Stripes for USA) has initially eleven red and white stripes, and add up to thirteen at 1969. Everytime when I watch the recording of Tunku Abdul Rahman shouting "Merdeka" and the national anthem "Negaraku", I will have tears in my eyes, partly proud and touched, besides partly sad.

Even though there is no official campaign "Kibarkan Jalur Gemilang (Fly the Stripes of Glory)", I will make sure a flag always flying at my desk, everywhere I settle. It is a reminder to me, that I am a Malaysian (ya, pure Malaysian). As a Malaysian, I have the obligation to serve my country, same case goes to world perspective. As I may go to New Zealand to further my study, I always being asked the question, "Are you coming back to Malaysia?" My answer is definite, "Yes! I need Malaysia, and in turn Malaysia needs me! Malaysia cannot lose a single Malaysian!" As you know, my dear readers, my cause as a future politician, is to save my country. I have no choice.

Even though Malaysia is small (and so do the number of Malaysians), we have abundant of resources, either natural or cultural. If Malaysians can make full use of these resources, the possibility for Malaysia to become the strongest country in the world is there! Theoritically, Malaysia should not be placed behind USA and Russia! Lets take a look at our brief history. Malaysia achieved a lot in 51 years' of independence, from infrastructure to intellectual. As long as Malaysians know our very own responsibility, there should be no corruption and arguments! A peaceful country is the key to glory!

I always bear in my mind: Malaysians are made for Malaysia (Malaysia is not for Malaysians). It is a blessing to live in this lovely country, so it is our job to make this country stands up. Malaysia is not purposedly established as a "habitat" for Malaysians, because a country is not a country if the citizens died or all the citizens are not recognised as citizens! I admit that, Malaysia should have a potpourri, not  three or more separate cultures. I love Malay girls (Malaysian should have no boundary), and I am going to fast for the whole Ramadhan month. My Bahasa Malaysia will not have a single Chinese slang, and my Mandarin will not have a single Malay slang. So, I am true Malaysian!

Oh, my dear readers (if you are a Malaysian or you may consider this for your home country), Malaysians should be ONE unit, not lots of individuals! We should put our own importance the last, not the first! Whatever you do, please consider your beloved country. My last advice for Malaysians: POLITICS ARE USED TO PROSPER THE COUNTRY, NOT TO FILL YOUR OWN BELLY! HELP YOUR COUNTRY AND THE COUNTRY WILL HELP YOU!

SELAMAT HARI JADI, MALAYSIA! HAPPY 51st BIRTHDAY, MALAYSIA!

The Best Gift Before Hari Merdeka: Avril Lavigne's Live in Stadium Merdeka!

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Malaysian authorities have reversed their decision to cancel a concert by Canadian pop-rock star Avril Lavigne, saying Saturday that she can perform next week despite complaints her act is "too sexy."

The Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry sparked an outcry among music fans when it decided earlier this week not to permit Lavigne's show. The ministry said then that the show was unsuitable for Malaysian culture and could not be held on Aug. 29, two days ahead of independence day, because it might disrupt patriotic celebrations.
The ministry's secretary-general, Muzahet Masruri, said Saturday that authorities decided after talks with the concert organizers that Lavigne "can do the show" next week, even though the government would still have preferred a different date.Muzahet declined to give a specific reason for the decision, but he said organizers told the government that they had already sold thousands of tickets and that the cancellation could hurt tourism.
Good news! Fabulous news! My dear readers, Avril Lavigne's is back to live in Malaysia! Finally, Malaysian government becomes reasonable and rational. Bravo Malaysia! This is the most fantastic gift for Malaysian teenagers just in time, just before Hari Merdeka (Independent Day).
31st of August is Malaysia's Independent Day, fellow readers!

Bloody Customer or Bloody Staff?

Dear readers, please click this post's title and you will be redirected to the an audio file.

Is this the manner of a customer should be? Or is this the manner of a customer service staff should be? The two female customers sounds like barbarians, but they want satisfactory service. This two Indian ladies threatening an ordinary staff with all kinds of harsh words, and blackmailed to terminate his position. What on Earth there are this kind of human (for sure they are Malaysians)?

If we want somebody to respect us, we should respect him or her in turn. It is human's instinct to forget, so we should not be angry for a small matter just like "Your problem" in the conversation. If we want good services, which customers deserved, we should in turn co-operate. As you can hear from the telephone record, the ladies should co-operate with the customer service staff, in order to solve the problem faced. Yelling and shouting through the phone will only waste the bill. Finally, I can detect the ladies are only about 22 years old (from the Identity Card number given to the staff at the early of conversation), but how can young ladies become so rude? We should think twice for our word choices. The government should think about our virtues in education system.

"You bloody staff, I want your supervisor! You say my problem ha?!" Bla... I cannot stand listen to it the second time.

Too Sexy?!

Lavigne 'too sexy' for Malaysia gig
Malaysia has cancelled a concert by Canadian rock singer Avril Lavigne after the Islamic opposition slammed the show as being "too sexy".
The Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry said it was unsuitable for Malaysian culture and could not be held on August 29, two days ahead of the country's independence day.
The government's decision comes after the youth wing of a fundamentalist opposition party, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, called for the show's to be scrapped.
Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a party youth official, said that Lavigne's show was "considered too sexy for us" and would promote the wrong values on the eve of Malaysia's independence day.

What a big surprise for the Malaysian teenagers that Avril Lavigne, a popular Canadian female rock singer, is going to have a concert here. One month before the concert, tickets are almost sold out. On every television there are advertisements that sing "Hey hey You you I Don't like your Girlfriend"! Maxis (or rather Hotlink) has a bunch of promotion of Avril Lavigne's true ringtone promotion (I received no less than three offer messages in a day). We are going to watch our star perform with our own eyes!

Hey, readers, we do not have the chance actually. What a big "surprise" too when Malaysian government axed the show! The reason is "TOO SEXY" (as you can see from the above news cutting)! Owh gosh, if you observe carefully, Avril Lavigne has never give you see even her bare shoulder to you in ALL her concert, how can you say her SEXY? Avril is the one that always wear T-shirt with jeans or skirt! It is nonsense to claim without observe. In my opinion, teenagers nowadays should only listen to retro and maybe only religious rhythm (sure die ler).

Lets take a look at Malaysian renowned singers: Dato' Siti Nurhaliza. Honestly, I am not a fan of Avril, as I only love her When You're Gone and Keep Holding On. Instead, I prefer Dato' Siti's songs. However, in this case, I need to use her as an example (Minta maaf banyak-banyak Dato', saya hanya perlukan kebenaran).

Dear readers, what is your opinion? Where do the two famous singers differ? Instead, Dato' Siti should wear scarf according to Islamic rules. So, what is the reason not to cancel Dato's concert but Avril's? For your information, Dato' Siti even held her concert in Royal London! Now, there add another topic for foreigners.

One question linggering in my head now, who will be the next victim(s)? Who else will brave enough to come to Malaysia? This Hari Kemerdekaan will Merdeka (independent) no more.

If We Hold On Together - Diana Ross

**This song was introduced by my IELTS (International English Testing System) lecturer, as a mean to practice listening, and indulge in the fabulous lyrics. Definitely, this song's lyric is suitable for the youngs. I love it.**

Don't lose your way
With each passing day
You've come so far
Don't throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valley, mountain
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Someone is praying
Please let us come home to stay

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

When we are out there in the dark
We'll dream about the sun
In the dark we'll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by
For you and I

**I am very sorry to say that, dear readers, I am not able to find the link that I downloaded the song, but I will try my best. Thanks for your support.**

Stop Laughing! I'm Sucks I Know

VS

What?! Olympic Beijing 2008 final?! India versus China?! No, it is just a freaky joke. (Above photos are for illustration purpose only: Anup Sridhar from India and Lin Dan from Republic of China).

An hour before I post this, I fought a few games (three if I have not mistaken) with my dad and another three neighbours (all Indians). I was freaking tired, because my skill is too sucks, even though I played quite lot in my college. There was an old daddy, I can say that I just better than him. His son-in-law, was able to take all my shuttle in time, every corner and every hit! I even cannot fight my own dad! I am taller than my dad, but his smash made me so small... Please, I plead you, do not laugh at me...

Yeah, i forgot to tell you. When my dad and I paired, it was totally China versus India (what my pictures imply)! When my dad paired with the old man, then turned to white versus black! I was giggling at the side of the court at that time.

The worst thing to come is my racquet spoilt! The string broke and the hole at the centre became bigger and bigger enduring the impact of birdie (shuttlecock in US).

Colleagues Romance...

I just read in Yahoo! News about Lee Chong Wei's plan to get married after the Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010. He told reporters on his arrival at the KL International Airport in Sepang (Bernama 2008). Chong Wei (李宗伟), who is the world number two player, has been linked with Malaysian woman top seed shuttler Wong Mew Choo (黄妙珠), 25, who made her exit in the quarter-finals of the Beijing Olympics.

So, there rise another issue of should sport atheletes romance? Or this will affect their performance? I do not really care about that, as long as they live normal life.

You realise another couple of Chinese Olympic Medalists (one gold another silver)? Yes, Lin Dan (林丹)with Xie Xing Fang (谢杏芳).

Somebody is Bullying Us!

Wow, so cute a seal pup, right? Innocent eyes and round body make you want to hug it and pamper it. Yet, there are humans who are not aware of the cuteness of this creature, they come with clubs.

You see what will humans do to the cute seal pups? They club them to death (look at the club on the ice ground), tear them and skin them. The pure white ice ground of Canada becomes red.

Hence, stop the cruelty! Dear readers, you can do something. Please click on the title and you will be led into a Canadian website. There are facts, statistics and news about seal hunt today. Sign it up and contribute to the world. I thank you in advance, for God's sake.

Hero? Chicken?

I do not really know how to start this post, because I am so upset after I witness the tragic lose of Lee Chong Wei against Lin Dan. 21-8 and 21-12 is an unacceptable result for the final match in Olympic 2008. Earthlings, especially Malaysians and Chinese (Republic of China), were sitting in the stadium and in front of the televisions, hoping for a close fight between the first and the second in the badminton arena. However, in front of our eyes, it was not a fair game at all! It was so one-sided!

In the game Lee Chong Wei versus Li Hyun-il (Korean), Chong Wei fought indeed perfectly. He knew the way to control Hyun-il, and finally got the weakness of Li in hand: his backhand. Chong Wei eventually won the game nicely. However, in his final game towards the first gold medal of Malaysia, Chong Wei totally controlled by Lin Dan and his own mistakes made the situation worse. It is countable the number of nets and outsides. Chong Wei can hardly find a hole in Lin Dan's well defended fort to slit a fine needle. The drops that killed Hyun-il were useless, the smashes were well read by Lin Dan. Wherever Chong Wei sent the shuttle, Lin Dan was able to reach it in time. Conclusively, we can say that Lin Dan is superior than Lee Chong Wei.

Besides, it is very obvious that the pressure there was intense. Even in the television, I heard the shout,“Lin Dan, Jia You! (林丹,加油!)” With few Malaysians in the stadium to compete the voice, but deep in his heart he thirst for a superb gift for Malaysia, Chong Wei found hard to bear the pressure. Do you realise he sweat a lot, even in the first game? In turn, pressure may kill by making mistake after mistake. Finally, what a tragic ending.

Apart from the failure, Lee Chong Wei has already became the hero after his victory against Li Hyun-il that secure him a silver medal in Olympic 2008. This is the first silver Olympic medal in Malaysian history! He broke Rasyid Sidek's record, who came back with a bronze in 1996. At the same Olympic, Yap Kim Hock and Cheah Soon Kit came back with a silver too. Chong Wei should be the hero, but he could make it until the end...

Lee Chong Wei's lose against Lin Dan is a tragedy, but his struggle through the Olympic made him a pride of Malaysian. I personally is very angry and disappoint with his mistakes in the final, but I am still proud of him. So contradict...

Unsolved Mystery...

Finally, I took back my laptop, my weapon to fight for the future and to combat the evil (sounds so holy). I missed my laptop (although it sucks) for my assignments and Blog, I missed it for gaming (I need to go Cyber Cafe for it). So, it is a relief for me, and my friends I think, from keep on borrowing laptop(s).

However, I do not mean to describe my laptop here (maybe next post), I need to reveal a case for your attention. I need your help, my dear readers, to catch this culprit red-handed, and please make him (or her) to face the music. Now in my mind is this car plate number: SFG 5386 C. So, what country's plate number is this? Definitely Singapore!

After my way sending my laptop to Plaza Low Yat (famous mall in Kuala Lumpur city that sells electronic gadgets), I saw a Nissan in front (my dad is driving). I cannot remember the model of the car, but according to my dad, that is a Nissan Sunny, the new model (the picture above is just for illustration). The shocking point is, there are rambutan's shells flying out the opened window one after another! My dad honked the driver, but it was still going on, until the car was out of vision.

"What the hell is going on!" I gruntted in my head. In Singapore, you cannot throw rubbish everywhere, but in Malaysia, you litter so easily! You think Malaysia is a "Negara Sampah (rubbish country)" ha? Even Malysian will not throw rubbish like that, so easily and straightforward. You need to do social service in Singapore for littering, then you can treat Malaysia like this ha? Please respect Malaysian! You are not allowed to litter everywhere, especially in the capitol of Malaysia!

Dear readers, please respect others' culture and regulations, when you are oversea someday. Some rules are the same everywhere on the surface of Earth, so respect them, if you want others to retain your dignity.

What a big disappoinment! Yet, Lee Choong Wei, You Can Do It!

It is Malaysians' last hope for we to win a medal (or specifically gold medal) in Beijing Olympics 2008, after our archers and maybe other sportsmen and sportswomen being sank halfway by other nations. When bowling and squash are not organised by Beijing Olympics, there is only badminton that we can fight until the end (probably).

Day after day, we waited for good news from our dear players. What a great joy when Wong Choon Han killed Taufik Hidayat, a defender for gold medal. However, the sorrow started immediately! Choon Han beaten by a Taipei fellow!

I do not have the mood to continue typing. Anyway, I hope Lee will make it at least to the final, to secure a medal for Malaysia. How sad to see Kazakhstan that small country also got medal(s), but Malaysia? Chong Wei, Malaysians are waiting right now, for your good news!
**This post considered as outdated. Lee Chong Wei came back with a silver after his lose towards Lin Dan in the final. Please read the post "Hero? Chicken?" for the overview of the Olympic final. Thanks a lot for your support. - IZAHS**

My Failure!

Oh my dear fellow readers! I have to apologise for my late post(s) for you all. For your information, I am now typing in the Cyber Cafe (without coffee) near my college in Malaysia. From my previous posts, I think you all know that I owned a cheap laptop, but how can I end up in a Cyber Cafe (CC)?

Well, it is on a sunny Sunday morning. When I tried to blog another, my laptop hanged! For five minutes I waited, finally out of impatient, I removed the battery manually (of course). What a big and large and huge shock I got! "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND" are the only phrases on the black backdrop! Oh gosh! There ended my passion to blog and I need to mourn for my friend's death...

I have waited for the whole week but my laptop is still in the hospital. Its brain dead and makes my heart broken. I need to finish my assignments and for leisure too! You know, my laptop is my only companion in music and my passion. I love to sing along with my Media Player. Thanks god my friend is deaf. I love to collect extremely nice pictures, and I love gaming though I am not good at it. At least I am a good strategist. I miss my fellow laptop very much, even though it makes me feel angry sometimes, as cheap laptop usually has slow CPU, less RAM (only 512Mb for Windows Vista) and low detail Graphic Card. But, I am a student, how can I do?

Anyway, I will be back very soon (please pray for it, my dear readers). I have a lot of things need to share with you all, but I hate typing in front of others in the Cyber Cafe. So, please be patient! My semester break is coming and you all may see what you expected. I apologise for any dissapoinment caused (I hope do not have any). See you later!

Seasons in the Sun

Goodbye to you, my trusted friend
We've known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we climbed hills and trees
Learned of Love and ABC's
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees

Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and I’ll be there

We had joy, we had fun, we had Seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed were just Seasons out of time

Goodbye Papa, please pray for me
I was the Black Sheep of the Family
You tried to teach me right from wrong
Too much wine and too much song
Wonder how I got along

Goodbye Papa, it's hard to die
When all the bird's are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Little Children everywhere
When you see them I'll be there

We had joy, we had fun, we had Seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the Seasons have all gone

We had joy, we had fun, we had Seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song, like the Seasons, have all gone

Goodbye Michelle, my little one
You gave me Love and helped me find the sun
And every time when I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground

Goodbye Michelle, it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
With the flowers everywhere
I wish that we could both be there

we had joy, we had fun, we had sesons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed, are just seasons out of time

We had joy, we had fun, we had Seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song, like the Seasons, have all gone

The Mummy III - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

I just watched The Mummy III with my friends in Bukit Raja, Klang, despite I am going to sit for my IELTS examination on next Monday. Thanks God it is a fantastic movie that I did not wasted my two hours for my revision.
At first, I thought this Mummy is going to be a sucking movie, as Hollywood's movies always give me this kind of impression. You should know that Hollywood's movies always packed with action and romance, but they are almost empty inside, I mean the plots are usually meaningless. When I saw the poster, in my mind: "You bloody director! Don't you know Terra Cotta are not mummies?!" Yet, after I watched it, I can say that the script writer is a very capable storyteller.
According to history, Qin Shi Huang (Jet Li in the Mummy III) was an emperor that conquered and united China at once. In order to prolong his domination, he tried hard to find the way to be immortal. The Mummy's story starts here. Qin Shi Huang succeeded to be immortal, but cursed to be Terra Cotta by Zi Yuan (Michelle Yeoh). Now I want to laugh, as I have two Terra Cotta statues in my living room... When will the statues appear to be mummies ha? At the end of the movie, all the Terra Cottas turned to nothing, just sand and earth. Oh my God! All the statues gone! Ha3!
At least the Mummy III does not have the joke in Forbidden Kingdom. What the hell will be if Qin Shi Huang speaks English with his army ha? However, Michelle Yeoh can speak English! Oh man, a 2000 year-old lady can speak English, whereas she is the guardian of Dragon's Tomb! Besides, she recites the script of resurrection in Sanskrit at the beginning of movie, but at last she recites it in English. Can the dead bodies understand? I think so, because all become alive and fighting for revenge.
No matter what, it is still a fantastic movie. The plot looks nice, as a historical event can become totally a fiction. Nice manipulation!
